~ Community Cash ~
Save Your Receipts!
If you shop at the Village Market and have Community Cash receipts, we'd love to take those off your hands! The funds we receive from this cycle of Community Cash will go into our ER Food Coalition Fund to make sure our community is fed.
Look for our Do a Little Good mailbox in the driveway at Calvary Lutheran Church at 10180 Elk Lake Rd, Williamsburg, MI 49690 (at the blinking light).
Thank you to everyone who donated receipts during the last cycle as we put $1,562 into our fund designated to help area veterans.

With a goal to keep our neighbors experiencing homelessness safe, warm, and clean, the Basic Needs Coalition gathers and distributes donations of blankets, hygiene items, clothes, and much more. We regularly collect donations and purchase new items to make sure Goodwill can continue this important work in the greater Grand Traverse area. If you want to donate or learn more about this coalition, head to their website.
The Elk Rapids Food Coalition is comprised of area non-profits, service groups, churches and more. Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity in Elk Rapids and the surrounding community. Do a Little Good is proud to help oversee this worthy cause and you can volunteer and learn more at their Facebook page.
Our President, Glori Crowell, participated in a two-year research project with the University of Michigan researching food insecurity in Michigan. For more information, check out the website where you can learn about the participants, the research methodology, and see the full published report.
We participate with the Northwest Food Coalition to rescue and recover food from places like restaurants, grocery stores, farms, and others. We help to move food from where there is a surplus to wherever there is a need to help reduce food insecurity in our communities. We would love to add more rescue volunteers to the program to support this important mission. Learn more at their website.
